The importance of this new facility cannot be overemphasized. It supports Environmental Management Center programs, property management, and many museum functions including exhibition materials storage.
The new building contains:

- 25,351 square feet,
- A secure, climate-controlled space for the Conservancy's
archives,
- Enlarged wood, tool and paint shops,
|
- Greatly expanded storage areas, including large equipment
and vehicle storage, and
- Offices and workrooms for the property management staff and garden volunteers.
