The
Young Friends of the Brandywine Conservancy is a membership group
and volunteer committee of young adults dedicated to furthering
the goals of the Brandywine River Museum and Environmental Management
Center.
In 2001, the Young Friends' local and national committees enthusiastically assumed the challenge of raising $1.5 million for the capital campaign. Having raised nearly $1.4 million as of December 31, 2003, they now invite their membership and other patrons who are "young at heart" to join them in meeting the challenge.
Donations to the Young Friends Challenge are designated for the new children's classroom in the Brandywine River Museum, and to endow ongoing education programs serving children and families.
