| WHAT: | The Brandywine River Museum will present a family program and book signing for Pieces of Georgia, a recently published children's book with special ties to the museum. Pieces of Georgia, written by West Chester University professor Jen Bryant, is the story of a 13-year-old girl named Georgia who receives an anonymous gift of a Brandywine River Museum membership. As Georgia explores the museum, she gains the courage to overcome challenges in her life and pursue her own creative yearnings. Bryant will explain her inspiration for the story, read from the book, and answer participants' questions about creative writing. Following the presentation, families may take a guided tour featuring paintings important to the story. Bryant will sign copies of her book, which will be available for purchase in the museum shop, from 2 until 3:30 p.m. |
