Enjoy the Sights of A Brandywine Christmas
at the Brandywine River Museum on December 21
Museum will offer extended hours, closing at 8:30 p.m.
Visitors may stroll the galleries and see the displays for A Brandywine Christmas, including Pop-Up! Illustration in 3-D, an O-gauge model train display, thousands of whimsical "critter" ornaments and an exhibition of jewelry by Donald Pywell inspired by the art of Andrew Wyeth. The museum shop features a wide selection of artful holiday gifts, including Andrew Wyeth prints, artisan-crafted jewelry, and "critter" ornaments, hand-made by museum volunteers. Many items are also available online.
The Brandywine Valley Chorale will sing holiday songs beginning at 7 p.m. Founded in 2007 by a group of area musicians, arts supporters and friends, the Brandywine Valley Chorale was created to add the art and beauty of choral music to the fine arts repertoire in this area.
The Brandywine River Museum's galleries and museum shop will remain open until 8:30 p.m. The restaurant will offer light dinner fare until 7 p.m.
A Brandywine Christmas is presented by Otto's BMW and supported by Herr Foods Inc., and The Frelinghuysen Foundation.
The Brandywine River Museum is located on U.S. Route 1 in Chadds Ford, Pennsylvania. The Museum is open daily, 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., except for Christmas Day. Admission costs $12, adults; $8, seniors age 65 and over; $6, students and children ages 6-12; free for children under age 6 and Brandywine Conservancy members.
