Andrew Wyeth's "Ides of March:" The Making of a Masterpiece is on view at the Brandywine River Museum through May 19. This exhibition offers a historic opportunity to view Wyeth's rarely-seen tempera painting, Ides of March (1974), along with more than 30 of the studies that were instrumental in his development of the composition. Assembled together for the first time, these provide remarkable insight into the artist's evocative imagery and creative approach. This exhibition is generously funded by M&T Bank.

The Brandywine River Museum, located on U.S. Route 1 in Chadds Ford, Pennsylvania, is open daily (except Christmas Day) from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Admission is $12 for adults; $8 for seniors ages 65 and over, $6 for students and children ages 6-12; free for children under six and Brandywine Conservancy members. Museum admission is free on Sunday mornings from 9:30 a.m. to noon through November 24 (except May 26 during Annual Antiques Show).
