Celebrate The Holidays With A Visit To
 A  BRANDYWINE CHRISTMAS
November 29, 2013 through January 5, 2014

CHADDS FORD, PA August 30, 2013 - Enjoy a holiday favorite for children of all ages during A Brandywine Christmas, on view from November 29, 2013 through January 5, 2014 at the Brandywine River Museum.

  • Discover dozens of rare antique dolls, dressed in beautiful period clothing, some on view in rooms filled with exquisite hand-crafted furnishings and miniature paintings by members of the Wyeth family.

  • Experience the popular O-gauge model train display, one of the largest in the country, with five trains running simultaneously on nearly 2,000 feet of track through a landscape inspired by southeastern Pennsylvania.

  • Marvel at thousands of whimsical "critters"- ornaments and decorations handcrafted from natural materials by Conservancy volunteers - displayed on towering trees soaring up through the museum's three-story rotunda. A large selection of critters will be available for purchase at the Critter Sale on December 7 and 8, and in the museum shop.

  • Enjoy festive holiday music in the rotunda every Thursday evening in December, when the museum is open until 9 p.m. On selected days in December, enjoy caroling by choirs from area schools.
A Brandywine Christmas is made possible by Otto's BMW. Additional support is provided by Herr Foods, Inc., Lord & Taylor and The Frelinghuysen Foundation.
