The customary observance of Arbor Day is to plant a tree. On April 19, the Brandywine Conservancy planted its 25,000th tree, successfully concluding its five-year Reforestation Campaign for the Brandywine Watershed ahead of schedule. In total, the Conservancy will plant 2,760 trees this spring in East Brandywine Township (April 12), at Nottingham Elementary School (April 26) and in Pennsbury Township (May 3). To volunteer to help plant trees, please call Wes Horner at 610.388.8124
The two programs of the Brandywine Conservancy & Museum of Art have the mission to preserve art and the environment. The museum exhibits Wyeth and American art, and the conservancy preserves the land and water of the Brandywine Watershed.
