YOUNG FRIENDS HOLD 10TH ANNUAL BRANDYWINE RIVER CLEANUP

WHAT: The Young Friends of the Brandywine Conservancy invite volunteers to help remove debris along the banks of the Brandywine River. The cleanup will focus on a seven-mile stretch of the river between the Lenape Bridge in Pennsylvania and Smith Bridge in Delaware.

Prizes will be awarded to the team that collects the most trash.

WHEN: Saturday, April 19
9 a.m. to 1 p.m. (Rain or shine)
Volunteers are advised to wear long pants, heavy shoes or boots, gloves and to bring drinking water. Lunch will be provided following the cleanup.

WHERE: Meet at the Brandywine River Museum parking lot,
U.S. Route 1 and PA Route 100 in Chadds Ford, Pennsylvania.

HOW MUCH: Free.
