ART OF THE AMERICAN WEST COMES TO THE BRANDYWINE RIVER MUSEUM

WHAT: The Brandywine River Museum presents an exhibition of 51 worksóoils, watercolors and bronzes from a distinguished collection that depict imagery of the historic west. Beginning with the 1800s with spectacular mountain views by Albert Bierstadt and Thomas Moran, the collection includes major paintings of Indian life and the vanishing frontier by Henry F. Farny, Charles M. Russell, N.C. Wyeth, Howard Terpning and many other artifacts. Bronze sculptures by Frederic Remington and others give an added dramatic dimension to the story of the West.
