| BRANDYWINE RIVER MUSEUM ANNOUNCES NEW ADMISSION RATES EFFECTIVE JANUARY 19, 2002 (JULY, 2001; #036) For the first time in ten years, the Brandywine River Museum will increase its admission prices. Effective January 19, 2002 admission for adults will increase from $5 to $6, and admission for children ages 6 - 12, students, and seniors ages 65 and over will increase from $2.50 to $3. Audio tours are available for an additional $3. Visitors may also tour the N.C. Wyeth House and Studio from April through November for an additional $3. The museum will remain free to children under six and Brandywine Conservancy members. Group rates are available with advance reservations. Exhibiting American art in a restored 19th-century grist mill, the Brandywine River Museum is internationally known for its unparalleled collection of works by three generations of Wyeths and its fine collection of American illustration, still life and landscape painting. Located on U.S. Route 1 in Chadds Ford, Pennsylvania, the Brandywine River Museum, is open daily, 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., except Christmas day. For more information, call (610) 388-2700. |
