BRANDYWINE CONSERVANCY FILLS TWO STAFF POSITIONS
(JULY, 2001; #038)


The Brandywine Conservancy's Environmental Management Center (EMC) recently filled two important staff positions. The individuals bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to the Conservancy.

Tara Tracy joins the Conservancy as Senior Planner. She holds a Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Maine. Ms. Tracy is a Certified Professional Soil Scientist. She has 20 years experience in the environmental field, working at all levels of government to achieve land and natural resource protection as well as development goals. She has experience with planning, policy development, and regulatory administration. She will serve as project manager for the EMC's Municipal Assistance Program and will be responsible for developing municipal comprehensive plans, promoting "smart growth" in designated areas, and facilitating watershed protection and management

Megan Maxwell is the EMC's new GIS (Geographic Information Systems) Technician. She will conduct GIS analysis and mapping and will prepare maps by hand, conduct data entry, and research land use information. She earned a Bachelor of Science Degree from The Richard Stockton College of New Jersey. Ms. Maxwell worked previously as an Environmental Scientist/GIS Specialist for Langan Engineering and Environmental Services, Inc.
