Group Tours

 

The Brandywine River Museum offers discounted admission rates

($10 per person; $6 per person for seniors) to groups of 14 or more.

Visitors are provided with a Museum Gallery Guide, allowing a self-guided tour. Docent-led tours, approximately one hour in length, are available Monday through Friday by reservation.

To book a group tour, please complete the Group Tour Reservation Form (click here to access).  You may save it to your computer and fax or email it to the group tour office.   To schedule a tour for a school or college group, see School Programs.

The museum is open daily, except Christmas, from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.  Special exhibitions and events are presented through-

A cafeteria-style restaurant, with seating for approximately 80 people, is open daily from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. (closed Monday and Tuesday, January through March). Menu choices include deli sandwiches, soups, salads, desserts and beverages (soda, beer, wine, etc).  Lunch vouchers are available for $9.25 per person (choice of soup or salad, half sandwich, hot or cold beverage and dessert) or $13.50 per person (bowl of soup, entrée of the day, hot or cold beverage and dessert).  Food is also available à la carte.


The Museum Shop features a wide selection of gifts, art reproductions, cards and books in a variety of price ranges.

Tours of the museum's Wildflower Gardens, N.C. Wyeth House and Studio and Kuerner Farm are available on a limited basis. Transportation to the N.C. Wyeth House and Studio and Kuerner Farm is by Brandywine River Museum shuttle bus only, which can accommodate a maximum of 14 people. The tour is approximately one hour long.

GROUP ADMISSION RATES (14 or more)
$8 adults
$6 seniors (65+), students, and children age 6 and older.

Complimentary driver and escort admission is offered to each group of 14 or more. Payment, by check, cash, Discover, Mastercard, or Visa, must be made upon arrival. 

HANDICAP ACCESS
Access to the museum for the handicapped is through the entrance on the riverside of the building. Paved parking spaces for the handicapped are located on the riverside of the parking lot.

OTHER ATTRACTIONS IN THE BRANDYWINE VALLEY
Longwood Gardens in Kennett Square, PA, is 10 minutes away from the museum. Winterthur Museum & Country Estate in Winterthur, DE, is 15 minutes away. Hagley Museum and Library in Greenville, DE, is 20 minutes away. Nemours Mansion & Gardens in Wilmington, DE, is 25 minutes away. Delaware Art Museum in Wilmington, DE, is 25 minutes away. Philadelphia, PA is less than one hour away. Lancaster, PA & PA Dutch Country is only one hour away.
